Welcome to the Town Hall!

Here, you can find some information about the town, our rules, and how you might be able to join.

Return to Town

You wander in to the town hall... it's surprisingly dimly lit, and you see a single figure sitting at the desk. There's some documents strewn around, and some loosely populated bookshelves.

✒ Currently Working... Helping people move in.

The person glances up at you, offering a small wave before looking back to their computer. "Hey, uh, you one of the new moves, or just looking around...?" They absentmindedly mumble. "Well, either way, I guess you'd like to look at these." They take another moment to push a small packet of papers across the table. "Oh, yeah, I'm Kepler. You can let me know if you need anything."

Rules & Regulations

1. You are required to have a website in order to join Netizen Town.
> This is subject to change as the site grows.
> Some customizable social media sites may be permitted in the future.

2. This is a community space. Treat your fellow netizens with respect, at the bare minimum.

3. No bigotry is permitted in these spaces.

4. Illegal activity that brings harm to another is forbidden. (i.e. pedophilia, assault)

5. Do not harass netizens for an invitation.

6. Be sure to contact a Board Member to have new netizens added to the community.

> Instead of running on an open application basis, this community aims to encourage people to foster connections with each other to help decide who is invited. Members of this community are here because someone else thought that what they did was cool and interesting, and thought they should join.

> If you want to join, instead of reaching out and asking, look through members' sites and see who appeals to you. Reach out and contact them and show interest in what they're doing, and they might just return the favor.

Moving In

1. When inviting someone, be sure to ask them for:
> What tile they want to move in to.
> Their website URL.
> The name they want displayed on their tile.
> An 80x80 image.

2. All tiles are free to move into except for roads and occupied tiles

3. Tiles will not be obsessively checked to make sure they're active, but if a dead link is found, the plot will be marked as Abandoned and will be open for new people to move into.

Zoning Laws

1. As the town grows, people may request to be moved, or may be automatically moved, based on their website content. New zones will be added as more people join.

2. Preferably, you will zone yourself in the area most relevant to your site's content.

3. Further zoning laws will be added as development continues.

Planned Expansions

  • Astral Plane - space & spiritual sites
  • The Arcade - gaming & computer sites
  • Quiet Forest - personal & flowery/foresty sites
  • The Graveyard - horror & gothic sites
